Day in the Life of a Take It Easy Group Employee - Jennifer Powell

Meet our teammate Jennifer Powell. Jenn uses her years of expertise in planning and organising life, business endeavours, and the workforce to assist you in maintaining your schedules! She can help all of your administrative needs because she is aware of how busy life can be, particularly when running a business.

In a recent interview, she highlights what inspired her to become an EA, and what some of the biggest challenges there are with the profession.

1. How long have you been an EA?

   1. Since 2018.
      

2. What inspired you to become an EA?

   1. I thrive on organisation and planning. It’s something I excel at but I also like to help people. So by working in a multi-faceted EA roll I can accomplish both.
      

3. What do you love about being an EA?

   1. That no 2 days are the same.
      

4. What drew you to working with Take It Easy Group?

   1. I call myself the TIE OG because I have been here since its inception. I was drawn to Tarra. The minute we met I knew she was someone I wanted to know. Wanted to work with. Wanted to learn from.
      

5. What are some daily challenges that keep you on your toes?

   1. This is a loaded question :) I wouldn’t call it a challenge as much as honing a skill through constant change in situations - and that would be managing different client personalities, working styles and setting the expectations of that working dynamic.

6. What advice do you have for somebody wanting to be an EA?

   1. Know how to be proactive and always be one step ahead of your clients.
      

7. If you weren’t an EA what would you be doing?

   1. I don’t know. Full time homeschooling mom … I do that already but I also work on top of that. Probably get back into event planning.
      

8. What is a fun fact people would never guess about you?

   1. I went piranha fishing in Brazil with a bamboo pole while standing knee deep in Caiman infested waters and had a Caiman come up from the water beside me with a piranha in his mouth.
      

9. Are you a cat or dog person?

   1. I love them both!
